UNIVERSITY OF BELGRADE

BELGRADE, SERBIA

The 1st International Conference on PRODUCTION IN URBAN ENVIRONMENTS will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Belgrade.

Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. The name ‘Belgrade’ means "White city". It is located “at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkans”. One of the most known Belgrade’s landmark is the fortress Kalemegdan with the famous view over the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, the New Belgrade and Pannonian Plain. Nowadays, “outspoken, adventurous, proud and audacious: Belgrade is by no means a 'pretty' capital, but its gritty exuberance makes it one of the most happening cities in Europe”. Belgrade is well known for its hospitality and great gastronomy, which together with the rich cultural environment and facilities at the Faculty of Architecture, located in the centre of Belgrade, represents a great venue for discussion and generation of new ideas for development of Production in Urban Environments.
